I’m a few weeks into my house/dog sitting journey. I’ve been enjoying exploring Whangaparaoa and discovering new walking trails in the area. At times it can get chaotic with three energetic dogs running around. Here’s a short video I made while trying to do yoga—you can watch it for a laugh.
Part of this journey has been investing time in developing my business, especially using social media to increase my visibility. It’s been a process of experimenting to find what strategies work best. In doing so, I’ve had to face deep-seated vulnerabilities and fears—old wounds have resurfaced.
I love connecting with people and facilitating healing through energy work.
I know when I am working with someone, I am in my purpose. But how do I work with people if no one knows I’m here? In this process of marketing and putting myself out there and getting seen has been triggering some childhood wounds. Especially the experience of being ostracized, sadly – kids can be cruel. And ostracism is not something you can fight against. It’s all too easy for me to default into avoidance and procrastination as self-sabotaging thoughts take hold: “What’s the point? I’ve never been popular” and “Nobody likes me…” or “Social media is made for extroverts” and “Nobody cares about what I have to say.”
My wounded child has been centre of attention, the part that doesn’t want to be seen, as she’s scared, hurt, and wants to hide. To face these fears of being seen, to face the perceived broken parts of myself, I’ve drawn from my healing toolbox. Through energy clearing techniques, I’m releasing attachments to past experiences and clearing trauma patterning from my field. I use somatic exercises to help dissolve stored hurt inhabiting my body.
Yet the work of healing childhood wounds often requires support—sometimes a surrogate parental presence brings needed safety. Someone else to help reflect back to us when we get stuck in our own heads. Recently, I had an emotional digestion session with Kara-Leah Grant to track the layers of the psyche. And, I had the opportunity to have a session with a new friend Valee More to work through some of my stress patterns on a deeper level.
If releasing old programming resonates for you, but feel unsure of where to start, I invite you to book a free discovery session to explore whether my energy healing approach could aid your journey. I’m here to support. Through compassionate listening combined with techniques like energy clearing, chakra balancing and somatic release work, I aim to create a held space for clients to safely process and dissolve the imprints of past hurt that still influence the present. My goal is to guide your process of release and restoration through connection, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you feel called to walk your wounded path towards wholeness.
