In this Energy Lab practice, we tune into the subtle element of fire. Fire appears extensively in language and mythology as a symbol of transformation, often relating to purification, creativity and energetic shifts.
Its representation in myths of stolen fire being retrieved piqued my curiosity. I encouraged participants to look up fire myths from their own cultural backgrounds. Paying attention to any fire-related dreams this week could reveal unconscious connections.
Subtly, fire links to digestion through our digestive fires. It also sparks along our biochemical communication pathways via subtle electricity moving nerve impulses. In various traditions, fire associates with the heart (Chinese medicine) or solar plexus/manipura chakra (yoga), reflecting its solar qualities.
Our brief meditation focused on intuiting fire’s energy within. Fires ignite and shift swiftly, so we kept our exploration gentle to avoid overstimulation. For those low in energy reserves, working with fire slowly over time may aid recovery through subtle fire’s energy-boosting properties.
I encourage independently researching fire’s depictions if the spark hits you. While systems outline its characteristics, personal experience matters most. Notice what resonates from your past or now, seeing how connections may emerge going forward.
Store intuitive insights rather than mental data. My goal is empowering each person’s journey of self-discovery through these subtle elements and energies within. How have your own perceptions of fire evolved since our session? I welcome hearing more about your explorations.
